Upload

The Upload tile is used to add files to the Tila workspace. It opens a file picker dialog and uploads files for use as context or data sources.

What does it do?

1. Opens the file picker dialog (system dialog)
2. After uploading, automatically creates a tile with a preview — an image, document, or media file

When to use?

• To provide an image or document as context for a scenario
• When you need to import data for analysis or AI processing

Actions with files

In Tila, uploaded files become full elements on the canvas, and you can:

• Download — save the file locally
• Delete — remove the file from the scenario

For different file types, you may have additional options:

• Transcribe — for audio and video (launches speech-to-text transcription)

How to use

1. Create an Upload tile on the canvas
2. Click Select file and choose the file you need
3. Wait for the file to upload

💡 Tip

For convenience, you can also upload files by dragging them directly onto the canvas
