Competitor Analysis

Up-to-date information is the key to quality analytics. Even the most advanced AI models may rely on outdated data. In this case, we’ll show how Tila’s built-in search helps you find and analyze the latest information from the web β€” such as when comparing competitors.

Many people know that even the most advanced artificial intelligence models are trained on outdated data. This means it's really hard to get answers from a neural network that are based on up-to-date information. To solve this, TILA has a built-in web search feature. This lets you ask the model to look for the latest info online first, and then use that to answer your questions. Let's see how this works with a real example, analyzing the Amazon website and comparing it to its competitors. First, we'll ask Tila to list some of those competitors. Then, we'll get a set of criteria to compare Amazon with its rivals, especially focusing on how search ranking works on these sites. To get a detailed analysis, we'll break it down into parts and ask Tila to compare each criterion separately. Don't forget to mention that you want the data to be found online and backed up with links to sources. As you can see, Tila automatically starts a built-in search and then reads through the information it finds on the web. For each of Amazon's competitors, Tila found out how their product search works and what makes it different from the rest. Tila also added links to the websites where the info was found. So you can always check the accuracy yourself or refine your request if needed. Let's keep analyzing the competitors by asking the AI to draw some conclusions based on the first comparison criterion. We'll need those later. The first step is done. Now, let's repeat the same process for the next comparison point. In this example, the neural network suggested comparing competitors based on their ranking algorithms. Specifically, what factors influence the order of products in search results? Price, reviews, popularity, newness, seller rating, and so on. We'll go through these steps for all the comparison categories and get a detailed picture of how Amazon stands out from its competitors. To organize the results in a way that's easy to work with, we'll use the List tool. It presents the info in a structured format. You can rearrange the columns and rows in the final table however you like to make it easier to work with. We'll save the final analysis as a document so you can keep working with it in other formats or share it with colleagues. If you still have questions about using TILA, feel free to ask them in the comments below this video.

Steps

  1. Formulate the task. Define which site you are analyzing and who your competitors are.
  2. Ask Tila to find competitors and comparison criteria.
  3. Break the analysis down by criteria. Formulate each request separately, asking to search online and include links.
  4. Evaluate the results. Compare the information found for each competitor.
  5. Summarize the information in a table. Use the β€œList” tool in Tila.
  6. Save the results. Export your analysis in the desired format and share with colleagues.
